Yes, it is, maybe it was requested by the celebrity to enhance it's photo using photoshop so that the celebrity wouldn't look 'uglier' in the 'real' photo.
No, it isnt. They're deceiving people and if the 'real' picture is leaked out, they will tarnish the reputation of the idol and, why can't natural beauty be accepted? Don't others have wrinkes, fat, etc? Group3, SIAOFAMILY ;D x33.
No.People might think that the idol is really that beautiful and want to be like that too. However, when they find out that the idol does not really look that nice in reality, things might get worse and people might think that all idols are like that when some really have natural beauty. Group5,Eaglets,Seraphina.
No!! I do not think it is ethical. Don't u think so?! U see, it is really very bad when they do this because their CRAZY fans out there would not know tht their pic is photoshopped and they would be decieved as they would think tht it is really their idols real picture. This would affect their impression on their idols when they see them in real life... This would also invite gossips about the celebrity's natural beauty...
YES.i think it is ok because the celebrity herself have her own reputation of something,so they use these people to be put at the cover page and to make the picture better, they need to photoshop it..
Yes. Enchancing an appearance of a person doesn't only include makeups and stuff but also this, photoshopping. Photoshopping can make the person look more admired, more enchanced and even be someone you want to be. So photoshopping is important.
Yes. If people do not use photoshop or other edting photo programmes, the photo would not be look nice enough for people to buy and view it. Then the magazine would be a flop.
nope. by using photoshop or editing photos, its deceiving the real identity. though it might look nicer, but, the truth is always the best. if your looks are good and people want you for it, they will naturally choose you as the model or something. no point editing. (:
No it is not, but sometimes yes. No is that they are using a fake image for publicity for people to buy their product or magazine which is not honest. When it is a yes, if they do no use photoshop, no much people would want to buy the product if the front cover is not attractive. What else can they expect inside when the front cover is already not attractive

No. As people had said, simple is the beauty. If everyone photoshop their photos before they publicly it, there will no longer be any real photos in the world. Considered the fact that if you photoshop your photos, it will not be the real you anymore. And this action may also be considered as cheating others and limiting other people trust on you. :)
It depends on different people views. Some may think it is ethical, some may not. To me, i think it is not ethical for media to use photoshop to enchance theappearance of a person as they are cheating their own custoers and result in people not buying their product.
I don't think it is ethical as Natural beauty is the best ! :D &, when people find out how the actual person looks like, instead of remaining their fan, they might turn against them ! Although it might attract peoples attention, it is wrong to for people to 'fake' their beauty. They should be proud of how they look like ! ;D
i think it is ethical as it helps to advertise the product. it doesn't really matter if the picture has been edited as people will not be able to see the real picture that is not edited by photoshop.(unless the picture is leaked out like the one above XD).
Yes.I think that it is ethical for the media the use photoshop to enhance the appearance of a person as the person may think that he or she is ugly and feel inferior...So if using photoshop to enhance the person's look, why not?I mean if the person actually felt sad about he or she not looking good, and by using photoshop could actually make the person feel better and ,more confident about he or she,why not?
No, it is not. Our looks will change over time. There is no way that a person will look exactly the same when he or she was a baby and when he or she is in adulthood. Let the real picture be shown and we have no rights to critizise as one day we will all grow old and will not look as what we used to look like.
No, as photoshop is just making use of technology to deceive people of the nice and edited picture of either a model or product, and not displaying the natural picture
No, enchancing a person's looks using photoshop only deceives the readers and fans might really think the person looks that way and it encourages plastic surgerys to the fans of the model too.
no.By editing the photos with photoshop,it is a way of deceiving the audience that the person is beautiful and would be attracted but in actual fact it is not c.jia hao
no,by photoshoping the picture, it creates a false image in the celebs impression.the next time they see the celeb ''live'',they can see a significant change they will not trust photos by well known magazines anymore.also,it creates by giving the celeb an impossibly fabulous figure , fans worldwide will do extreme things to try and attain that kind of figure.they might do dieting that can be life threatening.threfore,i think it is not ethical for the media to use photoshop to enhance the appearance of a person.
